our Professional tips

Preparing for your session is a lot of fun! These tips will help to ensure your day is the best it can be! We are here to help you through the process and to make sure the entire experience is fun and enjoyable. If you haven’t already started a private Pinterest board to gather ideas, now would be a great time to do so. Below is a checklist of items to pack and make sure you bring to your shoot.

The Basics

  • Nude & Black Cheeky Panties

  • Nude Thong & Black Thong

  • Black Bra & Panty Set

  • Nude & Black Stilettos

  • Fishnet Stockings & A Rippable White Tee or Tank

  • At least 1 piece of clothing that you wouldn't necessarily call lingerie

Do’s & Dont’s

Do’s

  1. Bra only or panties only are always super sexy choices and make for some super creative posing options!

  2. Bodysuits are a must! They are flattering on every single body type and come in a variety of textures and materials.

  3. An over-sized sweater or flannel makes for some cozy and romantic shots. Make sure it’s stretchy enough to pull over your shoulder.

  4. Fishnet stockings and bodysuits are one of the sexiest, yet most under rated outfits you can bring.

  5. Bra and panty sets are simple but playful. Choose a cheeky panty to really accentuate the booty. Or spice it up by bringing a high waisted panty for a totally different look.

Dont’s

  1. No Jerseys - They are very stiff and boxy which is unflattering for our figures! Instead try bringing a tee-shirt of your favorite sports team.

  2. Babydolls - This particular piece of lingerie makes any woman look larger than they and don’t show off your best assests.

  3. Nothing that is too bright. Neutral colors are the best choice. If you want some color, make sure they are not neon bright. Think deep colors; deep purples, maroon, rust orange, olive green, etc.

  4. Keep the props at home. The focus is on you, not props! I do make some exceptions, but email me first with your ideas and I’ll let you know.

  5. No pearls, please!! Pearls are going to look cheesy no matter what. Pearls are beautiful with a gorgeous dress for date night, but not for your boudoir session.

Tips & Tricks to prepare

  1. Stretch - Do yoga the week of your shoot, day before, and the day of your shoot if possible. This will help to prepare your body for all the sexy posing we will be doing!

  2. Rest & Hydrate - Make sure your drink plenty of water in the days leading up to your session. Water flushes toxins from your body, making your skin look more healthy and also helps shed extra water weight. It is also a good idea to avoid alcoholic beverages at least 3 days prior to your shoot if you can. Also be sure to get a good nights rest before you shoot!

  3. Protect - While some ladies prefer tanned skin, it is important not to be exposed to direct sunlight in the weeks leading up to your session. Not only does this cause sunburn but also increases the chance of suntan lines. If you must be in direct sunlight, please limit your exposure and protect your skin with a high SPF sunscreen. Spray tans are not recommended. If you do get an airbrush tan, get one very light and protect the bottom of your feet from solution.

  4. Groom - If you plan on having grooming services done, please do them at least 3 days before your session. This ensure that all red bumps or reactions are at a minimum. If you plan on having your hair cut, dyed, or bleached, please make sure this is done 2 weeks in advance so you have time to repair any mistakes.

  5. Arrival - Please be sure to arrive at your session no earlier or later than your scheduled time. It is important to make sure you are on time so the day moves smoothly and that your session is not cut short due to tardiness. I prefer my clients to be relaxed and not worried about time, so please know the importance of showing up on time.
